The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, producers of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, announced today that registration is now open for the annual Running of the Wieners, September 16 at noon. This year’s event will fittingly be held on Race Street, between Second Street and Freedom Way, in downtown Zinzinnati.
“Participation is limited to the first 100 dachshunds to sign-up,” said Cynthia Oxley, director of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “10 heats of 10 dogs each will determine the 10 finalists. The wiener of the finals will be crowned king or queen of the Running of the Wieners at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati.”

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati 2016, presented by Sam Adams, will be held at a new site on Second and Third Streets, between Walnut and Elm Streets, downtown.
