America’s largest Oktoberfest urges festival goers to vote with their mugs
The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, producers of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, unveiled, today, posters for the 40th anniversary festival featuring Bratwurst or Pretzel for Oktoberfest campaign images. Additionally, beer mugs featuring each “candidate” will be available at the September 16-18 festival.
“We’re asking fans of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati to choose their favorite mug and elect Bratwurst or Pretzel as their stomach’s expander-in-chief,” joked Cynthia Oxley, director of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “Vote early, often and responsibly.”
“Trash talk between supporters of the candidates has already begun,” added Rich Walburg, spokesperson for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “Pretzel was referred to as twisted and knotty, while Bratwurst was called a liberal weenie.”
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati 2016, presented by Sam Adams, will be held at a new site on Second and Third Streets, between Walnut and Elm Streets, downtown.
