Frankfurt Rhine-Main in 12 – 24 Hours

| May 27, 2016 | 0 Comments
A short layover at the Frankfurt Airport or passing through by car or train? The region around Frankfurt is ideal for exciting day trips.
Those starting from the airport needn’t be hindered by heavy suitcases: Simply stop at one of the three luggage department stations. The one in Terminal 1 is even open 24/7!
The city of Frankfurt itself is a great destination. And all it takes is a short stop at the airport Servicepoint to get a Frankfurt Card, which includes both public transport from the airport as well as attractive discounts on the city’s main attractions. Card in hand, visitors then only need to go down one floor to the regional train station; from here, they can reach the city in just 10-15 minutes!
Frankfurt stands for a unique blend of big city flair and time-honored tradition, its historic buildings on Römerberg set to the backdrop of the modern skyscrapers of the financial district. And no trip is complete without visiting one of the traditional apple wine restaurants in the Alt-Sachsenhausen district after a nice stroll down the museum embankment on the Main. This is where Frankfurt locals come to unwind – and for good reason! The delicious “Ebbelwoi” will have them coming back again and again!
