WHD Koerner and His Art of the Old West at Davenport, Iowa’s German American Heritage Center

Koerner was born in Schleswig Holstein in Germany and immigrated to Clinton, Iowa as a young boy. He went West where he became a noted illustrator of the American West! Koerner is one of the most recognized and impactful artists in how we see the Old West; his work has even hung in the White House! Don’t miss this presentation that is part of our exhibition Germans in the Old West!
Funding has been provided by Humanities Iowa, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Regional Development Authority.
