“German Author Karl May” Program at Davenport, Iowa’s German American Heritage Center

Sunday, May 1st @ 2:00 pm the German American Heritage Center along with WIU History Professor Ute Chamberlain presents “German Author Karl May”. Come and enjoy a fascinating presentation on this German author best-known for his adventurous Westerns! In fact, May’s novels are still top-sellers in Germany! May is described as the “most read writer of German tongue”. The total number of copies published is about 200 million, half in German. This program is part of our new exhibit Germans in the Old West!
