On the occasion of the 120-year anniversary of Swarovski and the 20-year anniversary of Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds), the crystalline destination opened its gates once again on April 30, 2015 after an extensive expansion. In the first six months after the reopening, we counted more than 500,000 guests from 60 countries.
A lot also happened in the Swarovski Kristallwelten Stores Innsbruck and Wien in 2015: In the fall, the haute couture legend Jean Paul Gaultier decorated the art spaces with his clever, ironic, and provocative creations.
Now, all three locations of D. Swarovski Tourism Services GmbH are spreading Christmas cheer with the extensive installation “Light Touching” by designer Tord Boontje.
A twelve-meter-high Christmas tree welcomes visitors to Swarovski Crystal Worlds, decorated with the Dutch designer Tord Boontje’s shining gold “Crystal Star”.
There are also other Christmas and winter highlights. From December 1 to 24, each day a little door opens in the “Living Advent Calendar” at Swarovski Crystal Worlds. In addition, every Sunday in Advent is dedicated to families with culinary delights at Daniels. Café & Restaurant, along with a special children’s program.
A spacious ice-skating rink invites people to enjoy some romantic ice skating and traditional curling until February 28, 2016. Mulled wine and music will keep everyone warm and in good cheer. Ice skates can be borrowed directly on-site.
