| December 2, 2015 | 0 Comments
The German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA® is launching a new series of classical music performances entitled the Wurlitzer Concert Series. These performances will be held in the German-American Heritage Museum™ throughout 2016. The series, generously sponsored by Foundation Vice President Finance Mr. Hardy von Auenmueller, will feature German classics performed on the beautiful piano donated to the Museum by Treasurer Wendy Evans Wurlitzer, a descendant of the famed Wurlitzer company founder, Rudolph Wurlitzer.
The first concert will be held on Saturday, December 12th at 1:30pm in the German-American Heritage Museum. This holiday program will feature a selection of German classical favorites by the renowned Estrella Piano Duo. The duo burst onto the musical scene in 2011 with a series of concerts celebrating the great Russian masterpieces for piano duet. Both musicians Elena Doubouvitskaya and Svetlana Belsky are trained in the Russian school of performance and held in great esteem for their talent and enthusiasm. Interested parties are requested to register by calling the Museum or via the following link:
The Museum is also pleased to announce a return visit by American classical pianist Claire Huangci, an internationally-renowned prodigy from an early age, as its second performer in the Wurlitzer Concert Series on Saturday, January 9th.
